Resource Rescue - ux/ui
RESOURCE RESCUE
Resource Rescue is a conceptual interactive educational app designed to help children build responsible sustainable habits through its gameplay. Players are "Rescuers" who can complete six in-app missions and complete daily real-life challenges in order to gain points, which they can then use to provide sustainable resources to their in-app world.
This project was a collaboration between three individuals in two industry fields:
Enkhbayar Munkh-Erdene, Design

Rescuers can choose if they want to complete a Mission, track their Challenges, or use their points to Rescue the world.
Rescue World
Rescuers can use points they've gained from completing Missions and Challenges to "rescue" the world by adding sustainable resources to areas that need improvement.
Missions
Rescuers can complete six missions to gain points. Each mission increases in difficulty, and completing a mission will unlock the next one.
Completing a Mission will earn the Rescuer points they can use. A scoreboard will show them where during the game the Rescuer excelled and needs improvement in.
Mission One: Recycle Factory
Rescuers are given a time limit and must drag the items from the conveyor belt to their correct recycling bin before they fall into the garbage bin.
At the end of each game, Rescuers will be able to learn the importance of the skill they learned through gameplay and how they can apply it in real-world settings.
Mission Two: Smart Shopper
Rescuers must shop for grocery items that are both sustainable and budget-friendly.
Mission Three: Lights Out
Rescuers must conserve energy in their home by turning off lights and electrical devices that have been turned on by others, within a certain time limit.
Mission Four: Water Watch
Rescuers must search the house for water left running and turn them off to keep the water usage meter low before time runs out.
Mission Five: Street Smarts
Rescuers must help characters within the mission to get to their destinations by assigning them to appropriate transportation needs.
Mission Six: Earth Energy
Rescuers must figure out the different combinations of energy generators in a certain environment in order to power a community in that area.
Challenges
Rescuers can also perform real-world challenges that can be customized by parents to fit their child's learning needs. Challenges help Rescuers to build sustainable habits.
Completing a challenge will earn the Rescuer points that they may use to save their world.
Parents must approve points earned by Rescuers by logging in with their own passwords. This ensures that the Rescuer is successfully completing challenges.
Settings
Parents can customize challenge lists in the Settings page.
Challenge lists can only be changed with parental approval. This ensures that parents are also helping their children to build responsible habits.
